ALBORAYA U.D.

1. PATH

In the last years, Alboraya U.D. has experienced a large and unusual progression. In these seasons, it has passed from a normal village school to a football reference in the Valencian Community. The increasing number of all-ages players and the sports level of its teams have been spectacular.

It has become usual the visits of football managers from some of the most important teams of the national and European football, as well as recruitment area employees and important technical consultants.

2. PHILOSOPHY

During its eleven seasons, Alboraya U.D. has provided the possibility of playing their favourite sport to all kids that choose football. To get this, we have tried to combine social work and sport as a whole. From the beginning, we have tried that responsibility, education, discipline and respect to be an important part of our atmosphere.

From an early age, we teach the kids to give priority to good play instead of good results. The experience shows that this philosophy helps to the correct progress of the players, as well as to obtain good final classifications.

4. TARGETS

Alboraya U.D. knows where it comes from, where it is now, and the direction of the future. We want to contribute not only to sports training, but also to the personal education.

We consider that the most important thing for young people is education, and sport is the perfect complement for it. If they choose football, we consider it a success, because it is a team sport and it will help them in the real life.

In addition, we want to help the players in their progress and future with the best offer, formation, balance of the teams, highest level competition, their arriving to professional football, etc.

Our target is that every player, according to their level, has a team where he/she can play inside Alboraya U. D.

5. TOURNAMENTS PARTICIPATION

In Alboraya U. D., furthermore of taking part in the official competitions, as we have commented before, we have the satisfaction of being invited to participate in a numerous local, regional, national and international tournaments, where our players keep growing in their trainning and they can live unforgettable and unrepeatable experiences, facing to the best Spanish and foreign teams.

6. PLAYER PROJECTION: SELECTIONS, SIGNINGS, TRIPS ABROAD

From some seasons ago, some of our players have had the opportunity of being promoted from our club to other teams, playing in national and international leagues, and even playing in the national team, depending on his age.

Due to some agreements and contacts with English football, Under-17 and Youth players from Alboraya U. D. are living important experiences abroad. Carlos Pomares has already a professional contract in the doyen English football team, Sheffield United, and new incorporations to some other Premier clubs are approaching.

7. ALBORAYA TALENTED PLAYERS FACTORY

The Alboraya school does not stop providing players to Valencian teams and other teams.

Juan García, Sergio Andrés and Manu Gasent pose with Valencia and Alboraya t-shirts. In the picture above, Vicente Martínez and Jaime López with the red and yellow t-shirt, Pablo Sanjuán with the Espanyol t-shirt and Víctor Ruíz with de Valencia t-shirt.

8. THE LEADING PLAYERS. YOUTH FOOTBALL

PEPE RODRÍGUEZ / ANDRÉS HUERTA "It is not easy to play in the first team of Valencia, Villarreal or Levante. It is not usual in other schools. Every year some of our players achieve that, we are proud for it". These words are from José Vicente Hurtado, Alboraya's school director. He is true. And uncountable amount of football players have been promoted from our school every summer. Some of them have even gone to the english league to be part of Sheffield United. Like Carlos Palomares, that signed a professional contract last year. "Sometimes the home players are better quality than the abroad ones". Taking care of younger players can give a good result and be successful. With this philosophy Alboraya works every single day, and viewing the good results, Alboraya will not change the way.

Four players go to Valencia

Mestalla´s managers, once more, are paying attention to up-and-coming talents playing in Alboraya, and they have not missed the opportunity. Sergi Andrés, Manu Gasent, Juanra García and Víctor Ruíz will be part of the Valencia C. F.'s youth football teams. The Youth A left winger will probably be a leader in the Division de Honor team, where the current season will be managed by Vicente Castro. In the other hand, the forward, midfielder and right winger players will probably play in the Youth National League, managed by Sergio Ventosa. Manu was the striker of Alboraya's Youth-A during the current season, Juanra was in the autonomic Under-17, meanwhile Víctor Ruíz was part of the Alboraya's Youth-D. All the four players have carried out a very good season and that has helped them to start a promising future in this world called football.

Two "treasures" go to Villarreal

The "yellow entity" (Villarreal) is also betting on the Alboraya's school. Some of Villarreal managers are frequently looking and making notes about our Preferente and Third Division players. They also observe Youth and younger players. Jaime López and Vicente Martínez are in the way to La Plana. The first one is a midfielder that has been part of Youth-A. From now he will be part of the Division de Honor team of Villarreal, looking forward to win the league, despite the disaster of last season. They lost against Valencia and they did not classify for the Copa del Rey. They had these two targets last summer, and they will have them again next season. On the other hand, Vicente Martínez will be part as well of Villarreal, after he shined in the autonomic Under-17, playing as forward. Both of them will be soon managed by the new trainer during the pre-season.

Five players will wear the Levante t-shirt

Half of the players formed in the Alboraya's school that have gone to another team, have gone to Levante U. D. Iván García, a forward of the Youth-A in Alboraya, and Juanma Montero, a midfielder in Alboraya too, will continue being mates in the División de Honor of Levante U. D. There will be some players from the Alboraya in the national league team: Jorge Juliá, midfielder of Youth-D in Alboraya, David López, midfielder, and Guillermo Ripollés, right winger. The last two players are from the autonomic Under-17.

Pablo, a luxury midfielder to Espanyol

Not only clubs of Valencia Community search players from Alboraya. Historic clubs like Espanyol have signed a contract with our players, as it is Pablo Sanjuán, a midfielder with a very brilliant future. He will play in the autonomic Under-17 as midfielder next season in Espanyol school, one of the most prolific football schools of our football.
